This article studies the representativeness of Near's device graph in the US, Canada and Australian populations
The mobile devices within Near’s device graph offer a window into the behaviors of the people who opt in to share their location data. In order to draw insightful conclusions about the behavior of these devices, a device graph should reflect the demographics of the population. Biases in the data set can distort an analyst’s conclusions by over-emphasizing one group over another. Providing equal representation across demographic groups is therefore an important element of Near’s device graph.
