Setting Up Map Layers for Home and Work Locations

A quick Pinnacle walkthrough of how to view home and work locations in Pinnacle for a given study

Click on the ‘Maps’ icon at the top left corner of the page to navigate to the ‘Map view’ section.

Now click on ‘Work and home’ to visualize the work and/or home locations of visitors on the map.

For the example shown below, read the home locations layer as follows:

  • Blue hexagons represent home locations of visitors to the selected McDonald’s store
  • Red hexagons represent home locations of visitors to the selected Burger King store and
  • Purple (blend of red and blue) hexagons represent areas where visitors to both McDonald’s and Burger King come from.

Similarly, visitors’ work locations can be visualized by selecting ‘Work’ instead of ‘Home’.

The visualization of home and work locations can be adjusted by selecting a different display mode (hexagon, heat map or geographic area) and/or a desired resolution level.

To focus your analysis on just one location, turn off the other location as shown below.
